Working line GSD-
The working lines are exactly what they are called. They are WORKING dogs. They are from Europe. The working lines are still used in the military but are also used as police dogs, sport dogs, personal protection dogs, & some make great ACTIVE family pets.

What is the difference between a working line GSD & other German Shepherds?
Most people in America are not familiar with a full working line german shepherd. There are so many differences in the working lines. Myself grew up around American Shepherds & German Show line shepherds(so I am allowed to say this)…*They are not bred for beauty but bred for- Good Nerves, Health. Brains, Athleticism, & Drives.
THEY ARE BRED TO BE PROTECTORS!
Because of their breeding only focusing on these things you are going to get A LOT of dog.
The working lines are going to be extremely smart(they may outsmart you a few times). They are going to be athletes. They will be able to jump & climb almost anything. They are going to be VERY loyal. They will be eager to learn. When bred & raised right they are magnificent animals & amazing partners!
All of this SOUNDS amazing but…
Amazing always comes with hard work & commitment to achieve you and your dogs potential!
When purchasing your first working line GSD you must be prepared. These dogs are very smart & like extremely smart children, they can get bored in a regular classroom. When they are bored they will start to act out. Many training techniques used for most dogs will not work for these dogs. You have to be firm but patient with these German Shepherds. If you want to have a off the charts relationship with your dog you need to learn from someone who truly knows the breed. A regular dog trainer will not work well with your working line shepherd & you.
